Robert F. George, of Austintown, Ohio passed away peacefully, Friday March 21st, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House, in Florence, South Carolina.
Bob was born March 2nd, 1944, the son of the late Robert F. George and Anne Drummond George and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, served in the Air Force, and retired as a Captain of the Youngstown Fire Department.
Bob was a faithful and dedicated husband to his wife Patti for over 52 years, prior to her death May 5, 2021; he enjoyed his family and friends; he especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who were the highlight of his life. He took great pride in his service and was highly respected for his ability, professionalism and dedication as a fireman and member of the rescue squad.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, the game of golf and spent his time after retirement working at Reserve Run Golf course, where he was a fixture.
