Rodney B. Hamilton, 65, passed away peacefully Friday evening March 21,2025, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on August 18, 1959, in Youngstown, to the late Marvin and Edna Eddy Hamilton. After graduating from McDonald High School in 1977, Rodney went to work at the General Motors Assembly Plant in Lordstown, retiring in 2018 after 41 years of faithful service.
He was a union official for U.A.W. Local 1112 and was a member of Argus Lodge # 545 F & M. Rodney was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He took great pride in coaching his son's baseball teams, that won two state titles. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Pap Pap. Along with his loving wife the former Linda M. Horvath, whom he married on September 29, 1984, he leaves to cherish his memory, his children Ryan H. (Sarah) Hamilton and Krista M. (Michael) Gettan, brother Randy (Cindy) Hamilton, and grandchildren Brinnley,
