LEETONIA - Cynthia J. "Cindy" McGouldrick, 64, formerly of Youngstown, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Hospice House following a lengthy battle with COPD.
Cynthia was born January 29, 1961, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of David McGouldrick Sr., and Darlene Edmiston McGouldrick. She moved to the Youngstown area as a child, where she would later meet the love of her life, Joseph Matyi. Cindy and Joseph were married and together they had two daughters, Michelle and Kimberly.
Cindy was the heart and soul of her family - a dedicated, loving, and compassionate woman who always put the needs of others before her own. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved them fiercely and unapologetically. She was an exceptional mother - kind, patient, and always there for her children and grandchildren. Cindy had a generous spirit and a warmth that made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Cindy never missed a game and enjoyed cheering them on with her family. S
